Established by article i of the constitution the legislative branch consists of the house of representatives and the senate which together form the united states congress.
Government the executive and judicial are the other two and it is the one charged with creating the laws that hold our society together. The branch of the federal and state government empowered to make the laws that are then enforced by the executive branch and interpreted by the judicial branch. Government is referred to as congress. Another part is called the house of representatives.
The legislative branch is one of three branches of the u s. Article i of the constitution established congress the collective legislative body made up of the senate and the house. Combined the three branches of government provide a system of checks and balances. Our federal government has three parts.
