In physics energy is defined as the amount of work that can be performed by force whereas power is defined as the rate at which work is performed.
The difference between energy and power is subtle. The rate at which a solar panel can push out electricity in full sun for example a 250 w solar panel the maximum rate at which a battery can accept electrical energy when charging for example the battery can charge at 3 kw. Energy changes from one form to another but not the power. Power is the rate at which energy is generated or used.
While energy comes with a time component power is an instantaneous quantity. Energy is joules and power is the joules per second. A kilowatt kw is a good example of a measurement of power. While energy is the ability to do work power is the rate at which work is done.
Well in another words power is watt and energy is watt hour. Energy is the amount of work done by force power is the rate of energy transmission from one object to another. It is the measure of how fast something is generating or using energy. While energy is joules power is joules per second.

You measure power by how fast something is generating or using energy. Energy and power are interrelated concepts in daily life and science.
