However the differences between these two words prevent them from being used as synonyms for one another. On the other hand a phobia is the extreme or irrational fear of something that may be very much normal to the other person. Fear is a natural emotional response which has been essential in human evolution. Under normal circumstances fear can be managed through reason and logic.
There are a few things to keep in mind when considering the difference between a fear and a phobia. Fear is the feeling that is likely to come when one witnesses himself in the middle of the danger threat or hurdle. Fear is an emotional response. The main difference between fear and phobia is that fear is a feeling felt by everyone whereas phobia is a specific medical condition.
