Camila Farah
Quakers are and entirely separate denomination or sect but are similar in some ways like tgeir choice to live simpky.
Mennonites are far less conservative than amish. 4 amish have a very strong commitment to lead a simple lifestyle and live in separate close knit communities however the mennonites live among the normal communities. Amish groups tend to shy away from technology and involvement with the greater world by dressing plain and using scooters and buggies for transportation. Today the greatest differences between the amish and mennonites stem mainly from practices rather than beliefs.
The amish while living in their own communities own their own farms and businesses. The amish tend to be stricter and more conservative in their beliefs and practices than the mennonites. However the main distinguishing feature of amish from the mennonites is the amish resistance to embrace modern technology. 3 amish are strict followers of nonresistance where the mennonites are of non violence and have established a very strong disaster management system.
Amish are more severe in their separation from the world to the point most groups eschew most modern technology. The mennonites are the original catholic group who broke off from that church due to a difference in belief and their catholics refusal to follow traditional beliefs and practices. For example the amish tend to live in isolated communities and avoid using modern technology while the mennonites are not restricted in these ways. Amish men normally wear untrimmed beards all amish wear plain clothes without distinctive patterns and young amish children are rarely seen in public apart from their parents.

What is the difference between. The amish on the other hand is characterized by dark and formal clothing. Despite shared roots amish and mennonites differ in their practices as amish dress differently use simpler technologies and worship differently. Similarly can mennonites drive cars.
Their clothing resembles modern cultural practices and preferences. Thus one major way to distinguish the amish from the mennonites is to observe their cultural practices. Their clothing is very modest though and aimed to emphasize simplicity. Mennonite do have a sense of community but not as much as the amish or hutterites.
