Bluish green in its appearance cyan is one of the three primary colors included on the subtractive cmyk color model. This is additive color. If you mix equal parts of the primary colors yellow and blue you will get the secondary color green. Cmyk is usually used for printing methods particularly in printing colors to the white paper.

Cyan is also part of the rgb color model pictured above which stands for red green and blue. Green add yellow and black. White add blue. The difference between cymk and rgb is their appearance on different materials.

Green light and red light add together to produce yellow light. Green add white yellow. Mix blue and green to get turquoise or aqua depending on the initial shades of blue and green and the amount of each color you add. Where the yellow and cyan overlap we see the subtractive mixture of yellow and cyan.
