What Hand Do You Wear Your Watch On

As majority of the population are right handed the crown or winder of the watch is typically on the right.
Generally most people will wear their watch on the left wrist because that s their non dominant hand i e most people are right handed. For many people the combination of a larger diameter watch and a segment which further protrudes a few millimeters means that the watch is often jabbing them in the hand. The idea here is pretty simple. The solution to this problem is simply for right handed people to wear a lefty watch on their left wrist which would be the opposite wrist from where a left handed person would normally wear a lefty watch.
You might have also heard that men should wear their watches on the left hand while women should wear them on the right. If you own a watch currently there is a good chance it was meant to be worn on your left hand. Although most people wear watches on their left wrist some wear it on the right. Most watchmakers design watches for the left wrist since a majority of people are right handed.
Culture style and fashion magazine gq has speculated that this is because it is easier for people to set wind and adjust watches with their dominant hand. The crown and other buttons are usually on the right side of the watch to be easily accessed by dominant right hand. If you re left handed then you can wear your watch on your right hand your non dominant hand. If you re right handed you wear your watch on the left hand and vice versa.
