What Hand Do You Wear A Watch On
Olivia Luz
This is especially true for left handed people because in theory the same rules of practicality as wearing the watch on the left arm for a right handed people should apply to a left handed people wearing the watch on the right wrist.
As majority of the population are right handed the crown or winder of the watch is typically on the right. When wearing a long sleeved shirt your watch should only be fully visible when your arm is bent. The idea here is pretty simple. There is a logical and practical explanation for this but the fact that most people wear watches on their left hands also has a historical background.
Wear your watch on the non dominant hand. You probably thought it was just as simple as slapping it on your wrist but apparently not. When standing little or none of your watch should be visible beneath your shirt cuff. Left for right handed people and right hand for lefties.
The most common wrist to wear a watch on would be the left. Generally most people will wear their watch on the left wrist because that s their non dominant hand i e most people are right handed. Watches can be worn on the right or left wrist but usually the dominant hand. For many people the combination of a larger diameter watch and a segment which further protrudes a few millimeters means that the watch is often jabbing them in the hand.
