Trusting in god is saying we will wait on him no matter how long it takes. The bible gives us a few people whose lives show just how faithful god is. The words translated trust in the bible literally mean a bold confident sure security or action based on that security. When we trust god we are putting our security in him believing his promises and relying on him regardless of our circumstances.

Faith is not quite the same as trust though trust is a natural consequence of faith. Trusting is believing in the promises of god in all. He knows best trust him to trust god in the light is nothing but trust him in the dark that is faith. We look for the quickest fix and the most immediate answer.

Often neither of those is what comes when we trust in god. Trust is not exactly the same as faith which is the gift of god ephesians 2 8 9. But in what he takes away. Blessed is the man who trusts in the lord whose trust is the lord.
