What Does The Bible Say About The Tribulation

Before the children of israel entered the promised land moses warned them that if they were unfaithful to god they would be scattered among the nations.

Christians are believed to escape this tribulation period by what is called the rapture 1 thessalonians 4 17. In the bible tribulation and the great tribulation are not the same and god s eternal wrath and the time of god s wrath are not the same. So in bible terms the great tribulation lasts 3 years or 42 months. These terms are only confused in the minds of people who advocate something other than the pre trib rapture of the church.

Most biblical scholars say that christians will not go through the tribulation but the tribulation will make many martyrs become christians but they will have to pay the price of their life. That s what the bible says.

The beast will make war with the saints and will overcome them during the second stage of the great tribulation. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the son of man and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The first mention of the tribulation in the bible is found in deuteronomy 4 27 30. Revelation 13 7 we see the beginnings of this development already in the governments of the world today that turn away from god s laws and mock christianity in action if not directly in word.

Many horrible things will happen including earthquakes volcanoes great plagues demonic powers the antichrist rules and people dying by the millions.
