To pray without ceasing means to seek his will in everything we experience not simply when we want something from him or wish to thank him for his gifts. Not only is it possible to pray without ceasing but it s possible to do so without making any significant changes to your schedule or time commitments. First it means that there is a spirit of dependence that should permeate all we do. This changes things doesn t it.

When we pray without ceasing we look first to god for clarity not ourselves or others. Paul is not referring to non stop talking but rather an attitude of god consciousness and god surrender that we carry with us all the time. Instead it refers to us christians honoring god as great relying on and looking to god communicating with god in our spirits and living before god at all times.
